Pensions in Mexico: 2.4% of GDP in 2010

As we see in the news, the Mexican government will allocate more than 306 billion pesos for the payment of pensions in 2010, an amount 16.1 percent higher than the originally estimated. This represents 2.4 of the GDP, which according to prognoses of the Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público could rise to 3.1 percent in 2015. In the figure below we can see the way in which this expenditure will be distributed.
