Do Americans plan their retirement?
On a previous note we mentioned the lack of culture for retirement that exists in Mexico. The article "Financial Literacy and Retirement Planning in the United States" shows data for the United States where you can see that for some groups the behavior is similar to that of Mexico. The National Financial Capability Study found that financial education is particularly low among young people, women and less-educated. People with the highest scores in the study are more likely to plan their retirement. See complete paper here.
