The survey "Savings and future: how Mexicans think" developed by the Mexican Association of Fund Administrators Retirement Savings (Amafore) revealed that culture for retirement in Mexico is needed. The survey was conducted in March this year in 2,000 homes in Mexico. Here some results:
- 62% of Mexicans surveyed had not planned their future.
- 49% say that in the future their children will be responsible for their maintenance.
- 6% of households have money in saving for retirement stage.
- 43% do not save.
