Alvaro Colom respects the autonomy of Social Security

Guatemala's President Alvaro Colom, opened the annual meeting of the Inter-American Conference on Social Security. The president made reference to the autonomy gained by social security, since the 1944 revolution, reason why he affirmed that he keeps extreme respect to decisions of that body. He explained to all representatives of social security institutions throughout Latin America, opening actions of Permanent Care Centers in 164 municipalities for those without access to the IGSS.
