The Tecnos Award recognize Technological Development, it is awarded annually by the State Government of Nuevo León, Mexico, to all persons, companies or institutions who have distinguished themselves for their contribution to technological progress and thereby benefit the industry and the community in general. Works of any state of the Mexican Republic, Region of Catalonia, Spain and the State of Texas, USA can participate.
This year the Prize was given to six companies, of which four are in the healthcare market: The Bioclon Institute, by antivenoms; the Mexican pharmaceutical Silanes, by medications for diabetes; Probionics for low-cost prostheses, and the Hospital of Torrevieja Spain, for electronic health records.
