Following with the PAHO meeting on health inequality

On Wednesday the papers for Brazil, Jamaica and Canada were presented. General conclusions were the same to the papers presented on Tuesday: health inequality is pro rich, while access to healthcare services are pro poor or pro rich depending on the type of service. Decomposition shows that income and education explain inequality. Interestingly, insurance also explains an important part of inequality in access to healthcare. There are some country specific results worth looking. See future publications of PAHO under the EquilacII project label.
