Seminar in San Salvador – Education

There has been a greater investment in basic educacion in Latinamerica and The Caribbean, although the number od children in this age group has declined in the region. On the other hand, we have the largest generation of adolescents and youths in history, which will keep growing in the next decade. It is important to make a greater investment in terms of middle and higher education of quality, along with technological inclusion; such as, one laptop per kid, equip schools, train teachers and students, amongst others.

In order to enable young beneficiaries of the Conditional Cash Transfer Programs and social protection, to be linked to the labor market after graduation and, therefore, to the social security contributory systems, new policies are needed.
