IMSS uses strategic reserves to finance future expenditures

Yesterday President Calderón announced that as consequence of the economic situation, IMSS will use its strategic reserves to finance future expenditures. It was contemplated that the strategic reserves will be used until 2012. This type of decisions supports the point of view of those that defend the reformed pension systems, since the huge savings of the workers, now administered by pension fund managers, are isolated from these political risks.
