Global crisis: unemployment gender gap
In his blog Harvard´s professor Greg Mankiw shows the unemployment gender gap in the United States in the last 60 years. During this economic crisis the gender gap has increased significantly (higher unemployment rates of males compared to females). Professor Mankiw suggests this current gap is explained because the crisis has affected different sectors differently. For example, construction, a male dominated sector, has been hardly hurt.
