21 million jobs saved

According to a study of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the policies adopted during the crisis by G20 countries helped save or create approximately 21 million jobs in 2009 and 2010. However, there has been a general weak growth in real wages, and informal employment and poverty have increased in development and emerging economies. Employment losses have been more noticeable in men than in women and youth unemployment rates have increased in most of the G20 countries. The study mentioned before identified six challenges to be implemented in order to achieve a sustained job recovery. For more detailed information access this link.
