The health insurance reform was passed yesterday in the US

The Congress of the United States approved yesterday the health insurance bill reform of President Barack Obama. The bill has an approximate cost of 938 billion dollars for a period of 10 years, through which most Americans will have health insurance. Some points of the reform are:
- Add 16 million of people to Medicaid.
- Subsidize private coverage for people on low and middle income.
- Prohibit, as of 2014, denying coverage to people with preexisting health conditions.
- Allow children to follow their parents’ health plans up to age 26.
- Employers must choose between offering coverage to their employees or pay a penalty.
It is estimated that the project will cover 32 million uninsured people, but would still be 23 million uninsured in 2019, one third of these would be illegal immigrants.
