Two news about pensions in Argentina and Mexico

Argentina´s president announced that as of March the minimum pension will be from 895.15 pesos, which means an adjustment of just over 8 percent. The law marks that there must be two adjustments per year, according to the behavior of wages, taxes and collecting the previous 6 months; the next will be in August. Until now, the minimum retirement was 827.23 pesos.

In Mexico, from February all persons receiving a pension greater than 9 minimum wages by the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) must pay an income tax. This, by an instruction given by the SAT to the Institute in order to conduct the retention.
